Other areas have reported individuals impersonating water utility employees, asking to test resident’s water pressure and requesting to enter homes. Augusta Water employees will NEVER ask to enter your residence or ask for money. Each employee has Augusta Water apparel and will be in an Augusta Water vehicle with "Local Government" tags. Board Meetings are held the third Thursday of every month in the Board Meeting Room at the Augusta County Government Center in Verona, VA. Meetings start at 1:30 p.m. The public is welcome to attend the meetings.

Board meeting dates for 2024 are as follows:

February 15 -Regular Board Meeting and Strategic Planning Meeting    *The Regular Board Meeting will be held at the Frontier Culture Museum in the Lecture Hall beginning at 9:00 AM. The Strategic Planning Meeting will follow.
March 21 - This meeting will take place in the Augusta Water Conference Room located in the Augusta Water Administrative Office

The agenda provides a brief description of each item to be considered by the Board and its committees. Additional information is available for public review at the Augusta Water reception desk prior to the Board Meeting. Copies of individual items, including background information, are available through the Board Secretary.

Persons wishing to address the Board regarding an item listed on the Agenda or regarding another matter during the Matters Presented by the Public section of the meeting are invited to participate in the following ways:

  • Appear in person. Come to the Board Meeting Room and speak with the Board Secretary or the Board Chairman prior to the meeting to let them know you wish to speak.
  • Email Jean Marshall, Board Secretary at jmarshall@augustawater.com with your comments at least two (2) days prior to the meeting. Comments submitted through email will be noted at the meeting and added to the official Minutes.
  • Phone: If you wish to speak during the Matters Presented by the Public section of the meeting, please contact Jean Marshall, at 540-245-5032 at least two (2) days prior to the meeting to disclose your request for speaking and to leave a contact number. During the Matters Presented by the Public section of the meeting, you will be contacted at the number you provided for the Board to receive your comments. Comments will be added to the official Minutes.
