Augusta County Service Authority Temporary Bulk Water Purchase Location

In an effort to serve citizens of Augusta County who are experiencing water shortages associated with the drought, Augusta County Service Authority (ACSA) has added a temporary bulk water purchase location at 18 Government Center Lane, in Verona. This water is provided through a fire hydrant and is intended for non-potable use.

Below are instructions on how to purchase water from this location:

  1. Visit the ACSA Customer Service counter to purchase a temporary hydrant permit.
  2. Go to the designated hydrant to obtain water (operation of the hydrant will be performed by ACSA staff).
  3. Return to ACSA Customer Service counter to pay for water.

*This location is intended for larger bulk tank needs. A minimum charge of $4.00 (500 gallons), will apply to each purchase.

From Harrisonburg and all points North on Interstate 81, take exit 227. At the end of the exit ramp, bear right onto Laurel Hill Road (VA Route 612). At the 2nd traffic light, turn left onto Lee Highway (US Route 11). At the next traffic light, turn left onto Dick Huff Lane, turn right onto Government Center Lane, and follow signs to the ACSA.

From Staunton, Waynesboro and all points South on Interstate 81, take exit 225 (Woodrow Wilson Parkway). Turn left onto Woodrow Wilson Parkway (VA Route 262) at the bottom of the exit ramp. At the first traffic light, turn right on Lee Highway (US Route 11). At the second light on Lee Highway, turn right onto Dick Huff Lane, turn right onto Government Center Lane, and follow signs to the ACSA.
