Thank you for your interest in the Augusta County Service Authority. At this time, we are unable to accept unsolicited applications. Please check back regularly for posted positions, and we encourage you to apply for those jobs in which you have interest and are qualified.

Equal Employment Opportunity

The Authority is committed to providing a work environment free from unlawful discrimination. Equal employment opportunity is for all employees and applicants for employment without unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, citizenship, national origin, or status as a Vietnam-era or special disabled veteran in accordance with applicable federal laws. In addition, the Authority complies with applicable state and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment. This policy applies to all conditions of employment, including but not limited to:  hiring, placement, promotion, termination, demotion, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.

Medical Examinations

All applicants are required to undergo a post-offer, pre-employment medical examination and an alcohol and drug screening conducted by an Authority designated physician.  An offer of employment is contingent upon, among other things, satisfactory completion of this examination and screening.  Applicants who refuse to be tested for drug and alcohol screening will not be considered for employment.

Employees may be required to undergo periodic medical examinations and/or alcohol and drug screenings when reasonable suspicion exists for alcohol/drug misuse or after a workplace accident (refer to Section XII for additional information on the Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy).  Employees are expected to provide the Authority access to these medical records if required as part of their medical examinations or screenings.  The Authority will receive a full medical report from its examining physicians.
