Explanation of Regional Ownership
The Augusta/Staunton Landfill # 1 began operation under Permit #21 in 1971. The landfill located at 749 Christians Creek Road, Staunton VA was owned by the City of Staunton and the County of Augusta and is operated by the Augusta County Service Authority.
